Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated this
column, but since I’ve got new responsibilities within the company, my days have been
longer and my days-off have been few and far in-between.
Things are just hunky-dory in the Red & Black, the Black
& White...actually, I guess that’s just The nWo now, right? The nWo is back on
track. We’ve got a helluva unit of guys.
"Hollywood" Hogan defeated me in that incredibly
hard-fought Monday Nitro battle at The Georgia Dome one month ago today. I still reflect
on that match as the toughest of my career. I think "Hollywood" is really
enjoying himself since he came out of retirement.
Lex injured his left elbow last Saturday at The Great Western
Forum in L.A., working against Konnan. I don’t know the extent of his injuries, but
he may have tore some ligaments, or have damage to some connective tissue. That will hurt
us because he was really on a roll. But he’s an android, and if he’s injured,
he’ll be back quicker than anyone else. Bagwell continues to heal; I’m looking
forward to him getting 100-percent healthy. Scotty Steiner has had back problems, so
we’re gonna keep our fingers crossed that he stays healthy. Scott Hall got injured
last Friday in San Diego. He got a stinger which, to anyone who’s played sports,
knows is numbness down one or both of your arms. Scott had it down his left arm. I have a
bruised kidney or something because I’ve had some blood in my urine the past couple
of days. We’re all beat up, but that’s the nature of the beast. But things be
going well as a whole.
Flair vs. Hogan is on tap for SuperBrawl and when I look at
that match, I just know that Flair will always be in Hulk Hogan’s shadow. When he
went up to New York, he was up there for just over a year, then bailed out. Ric Flair is a
legend, a good little regional wrestler. Hogan’s The Man — and Flair knows it.
Hogan is bigger, stronger, in better shape, younger than Flair ... everything points to
"Hollywood" at SuperBrawl. Plus, when push comes to shove, if there’s any
outside interference, we clearly dominate The Midget Squad. Personally, I think this may
be the weakest Four Horsemen group in the history of The Four Horsemen.
I’ve got a little less than three years remaining on my
contract. I just bought a nice beach-front lot that I’ll be building my retirement
home on, starting in about a month. It’ll probably take two years to complete.
I’ll then finish up the last year of my contract and, uh, probably retire. Then will
I run for President? Nah. But I might run for the King of France position, which I hear is
opening up. I’ve always wanted to be the King of France.
I played "Cars" with my son Sunday and we also
played with the new Kevin Nash action-figure from Toy Biz, Inc., made in China.
Lots of you have been asking about the "Big Sexy"
shoes that were pictured here on the Site. Well, all I can tell you is: they were a
prototype from Reebok, made just for me. But if you want a pair of the "Big
Sexy" shoes, all you have to do is contact Reebok because, if they think they can
sell these shoes, I know they’ll definitely make ‘em. I’ll post their
address in a future Forum, or I’m sure you guys can find it off the Internet, or
maybe some nice Kevin Nash fan will track it down (hint, hint) and post it on my Site.
Insist on the "Big Sexy" shoe.
There’s nothing like weaving in and out of traffic in
and around my Phoenix home in my S-Class Mercedes. When ya see an opening while driving,
ya gotta take it ... I know I do.
I hate traffic delays at 7 a.m.
I absolutely hate getting up early. I left my Phoenix house
Monday at 6:30 a.m., for SkyHarbor Airport, bound for Minneapolis ... and there was a ton
of traffic en route to the airport. My question to the drivers who were out and about
then: where were you all going? My gosh. You’d think that someone somewhere along the
line would decide to start the day at, oh, noon. Who decided the work-day was 9-to-5, as
opposed to, say, noon-to-8? Wouldn’t we all prefer to get up and leisurely get to
work? I just don’t understand that whole concept. Personally, if I had designed the
workday, it would be noon-to-1. Sure you wouldn’t get as much done, but you’d
have a lot more free time. Unfortunately there wouldn’t have been a lunch-break in my
noon-to-1 day, but definitely a 15-minute coffee break.
HERE’S MY FINAL THOUGHT ... AND I DON’T KNOW WHERE
THE HELL I’M GOING WITH THIS: Nitro was in Minneapolis this past Monday and,
sometimes I wish that I was a girl because then I could have been Jesse’s girl ...
cause I wish that I was Jesse’s girl.
